JUDGEMENT

(1.) Shri B.D. Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner.

(2.) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved by letter dated 01.04.2019 (Annexure-P/8) passed by respondent No.2/Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jabalpur.

(3.) In view of the relief claimed by the petitioner that he is otherwise eligible to be promoted on the post of Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation as per 50% quota prescribed for filling up the said post by way of promotion amongst the officers of the establishment. The petitioner has moved a representation before the respondents but vide letter dated 01.04.2019 (Anneuxre-P/8), he has been informed that the same cannot be considered in view of order of status-quo granted by the Supreme Court in pending SLP No.13954/2016 parties being [State of Madhya Pradesh and others Vs. R.B. Rai and others].
