Decided On December 16, 2019
Bulbuli Ghosh Appellant
V/S
STATE OF WEST BENGAL Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner approached the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal (hereafter the 'tribunal') by filing an original application. In such application, she sought for a direction on the respondents to take necessary steps for release of financial benefits that had accrued to her deceased husband, Rabindranath Ghosh, ex-Constable of a police force (hereafter the 'delinquent constable'). The tribunal by its order dated February 7, 2019 disposed of the original application with the following direction:

(2.) It is this order of the tribunal that the original applicant has challenged before us by presenting this writ petition.

(3.) It is not in dispute that the petitioner's husband while in service as a constable suffered 03 major punishments and 08 minor punishments, apart from being rewarded 06 times. He had also been granted 1117 days EOL on earlier occasions for remaining unauthorisedly absent.
