JUDGEMENT

(1.) Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioners be kept on record.

(2.) The present writ petition has been preferred by the Anganwadi Workers (in short, AWWs) in NGO run institutions seeking direction upon the respondents to allow them to participate in the selection process for 'promotion by selection' to the post of supervisor under Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (in short, ICDS).

Mr. Chaturvedi, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that all the petitioners fulfilled the eligibility criteria, as specified in the recruitment rules contained in the notification dated 25th February, 2019 but they were not allowed to submit their on-line applications for participation in the selection process since they were AWWs in an NGO run institution. Aggrieved thereby, they submitted a representation to the competent authority on 28th March, 2019 but the same was not responded to. Time to file applications on-line was extended from time to time and on 6th June, 2019 also a memo was issued by the Director of ICDS stating that the on-line window will be open from 7th June, 2019 till 17th June, 2019.
