JUDGEMENT

(1.) This is an application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the petitioners praying for quashing of the criminal proceedings being complaint case no.C-1820 of 2018 under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act pending before the Learned Judicial Magistrate, 7th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas.

(2.) The petitioners before this Court have been projected as accused nos.3 to 14 of the criminal proceedings pending before the Learned Magistrate.

(3.) Before dealing with the rival submissions of the parties, it would be appropriate to set out the facts briefly.
