JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS writ application is filed by the petitioners for a direction upon the respondents for their placement in senior scale in connection with their services in the post of "Assistant Librarians" under the respondent No. 1. The brief facts of the case are as under: -

ACCORDING to the petitioners both of them were entitled for placement to the senior scale of pay attached to the post of "Assistant Librarians" with effect from October, 2001, i.e., after completion of six years of continuous services in the post of "Assistant Librarians" in view of the D.O. No. 3639 dated March 19, 1999 (Annexure P -3 at page 33 to the writ application).

(3.) ON the basis of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of this case I find that the petitioners were promoted to the post of "Assistant Librarians" In October, 1995. In terms of Clause No. 7 of D.O. No. 3639 dated March 19, 1999, the minimum length of service for eligibility to move into senior scale and equivalent was six years for the petitioners.
