JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner appears in person and wants to move his unlisted writ petition on urgent basis. He files affidavit-of-service. Leave is granted since service has been effected and Dr. Nilanjan Dasgupta, Controller of Examinations, Presidency University appears.

(2.) Petitioner has challenged decision dated 10th April, 2018 taken by Presidency University in not acceding to his request for allowing casual enrolment in current academic year 2017-2018. Petitioner had earlier moved this Court and obtained order dated 15th February, 2018 pursuant to which the University considered his request and returned the aforesaid decision. Petitioner has made out several grounds in his writ petition. He, for the present, relies on ground no. II which is set out below.

(3.) Dr. Nilanjan Dasgupta, Controller of Examinations hands up a chart with copy to petitioner. In page 2 of the chart, under the heading Fourth Semester there is included information regarding results obtained by petitioner in Fifth and Sixth Semesters as well. Information given in the chart under the heading Fourth Semester is extracted below.
