JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS first appeal is at the instance of the defendant no. 1 in a suit for eviction and is directed against the judgment and decree dated 24th August, 1999 passed by the learned Judge, Fourth Bench, City Civil Court at Calcutta, in ejectment Suit No. 675 of 1985 thereby passing a decree for eviction on the ground of default in payment of rent and subletting.
