JUDGEMENT

(1.) None appeared for the appellant.

(2.) Mr. Anowar Hossain, learned Advocate is requested to appear on behalf of the appellant as amicus curiae. A copy of the paper book is handed over to him in Court today.

(3.) The appellant has been convicted for commission of offence under Section 376 IPC Act and directed to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 8 years and to pay a fine of Rs.2,000/-, in default to suffer six months rigorous imprisonment.
