(1.) In my opinion the Circuit Bench at Port Blair has no jurisdiction to entertain, try and determine this writ application.
(2.) This case relates to the recruitment process for the selection and appointment of direct recruits to the cadre of District Judge (Entry Level) in the West Bengal Judicial Service. All advertisements were issued by the Principal Bench of this Court at Calcutta, the application was submitted by the petitioner to the Registry of this Court at Calcutta and the impugned notification of the Registrar General dated 14th June, 2017 were also issued from mat, place. Only the posting of the petitioner is in Port Blair. That does not clothe this Circuit Bench with jurisdiction)
(3.) However, For the ends of justice let all the papers relating to this case be immediately transmitted by the Registrar of the Circuit Bench to the Registrar General of this Court in Calcutta. The Registrar General will cause the writ petition to be registered on the Original Side of the High Court followed by allotment of the case number. After this process is over, liberty is granted to the petitioner to mention the application before the Honourable Judge having jurisdiction for appropriate leave to move the application.
