JUDGEMENT

(1.) On the prayers of the learned advocates appearing for the parties, we consider WPCT No. 44 of 2013 with WPCT No. 127 of 2013 analogously. The writ petitioners are all Assistant Sub-Inspectors. Some of them joined as constables. Thereafter, they were promoted to the post of Head Constable. Finally, they reached to the position of Assistant Sub-Inspectors.

(2.) The Administration issued an advertisement to fill up 56 posts of Sub-Inspectors by direct recruitment.

(3.) The Andaman and Nicobar Police Manual, 1963, came into effect from June 01, 1963.
