JUDGEMENT

(1.) In this original application, the applicant has prayed for (a) quashing of the impugned order dated 24.4.90/29.1.91, (b) a declaration that the said order is void ab initio and (c) a direction on the respondents to retain him in service till he attains the age of superannuation on 31.7.93.

(2.) The applicant joined Indian Railway Stores Service as a Class I officer on 12.6.58. He was promoted to the senior scale as District Controller of Stores in 1962. He was transferred to CLW in 1964. He was promoted as Deputy Controller of Stores in 1974, as Additional Controller of Stores in 1980 in Level II of Senior Administrative Grade and as Controller of Stores in 1982 in Level I of Senior Administrative Grade.

(3.) He crossed 50 years of age on 9.7.85 and was retained in service after review of his service records.
