BELA SINGH Vs. STATE

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying that the order dated 20th January, 2012 passed by the Judicial Magistrate First Class-I at Mayabunder be quashed.

(2.) Briefly stated, the petitioners herein have been arrayed as accused in the FIR case No. 10/ 08 dated 26.1.2008 registered at Police Station, Billiyground, Middle Andaman. The abovesaid FIR was investigated and the charge-sheet No.16/08 dated 10th April, 2008 was submitted in the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class-I, Mayabunder.

(3.) The petitioners were charged by the Court below for offence under Sections 498 (a), 342, 323, 504 and 506 of I.P.C. read with Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
