JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS writ application is directed against an order dated 22nd August, 2012 passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal, Calcutta Bench on Circuit at Port Blair, whereby the learned Tribunal refused to grant relief to the petitioner in an application under Section 19 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 being O.A. 53/A&N/2010 filed by the petitioner, claiming retrospective regularisation with effect from the date on which he was initially appointed on contractual basis.

(2.) THE case of the petitioner is that the petitioner applied pursuant to an employment notice, underwent a regular selection process, was interviewed and ultimately appointed as Post Graduate Teacher on short term contract basis for the period from 1st February, 1994 to 30th April, 1994, vide an order No.265 dated 4th February, 1994.

(3.) ON an application being O.A. No.22/A&N/1997 being filed before the learned Tribunal, the learned Tribunal issued an order dated 27th November, 1998 directing the respondent authorities to consider the case of the concerned applicants, who, according to the petitioner, were similarly circumstanced as him, for regularisaiton of their service from the date of initial appointment.
