GOPAL MOHAN GHOSH Vs. STATE OF WEST BENGAL

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioners in this WP under art.226 of the Constitution dated January 20, 2006 are questioning a decision of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. A copy of the decision was sent to the Secretary of the school concerned with a letter of the Secretary of the Board dated August 16, 2005 (WP p.110).

(2.) THE relevant parts of the letter dated August 16, 2005 are quoted below:-

(3.) MR Manna appearing for the petitioners submits as follows. The District Level Inspection Team submitted the report without inspecting the school. It wrongly reported that on the date the school was inspected only a few students were present. Though common room for the girl students was not there, it was built subsequently. The Board should be directed to recognise the school.
