IN THE MATTER OF : KHOKAN DAS Vs. STATE

JUDGEMENT

(1.) This application being CRAN 1933 of 2011 has been taken out by Sahanawaz Alam @ Lullah Sahanawaz, a convict, who was found guilty for committing an offence under section 392/397 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment of seven years to the highest and to pay fine.

(2.) It was a custody trial and the convict/appellant is in custody for about 4 1/2 years. The judgment impugned passed on 08-04-2011. There is least possibility of quick disposal of this appeal.

(3.) Heard the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the convict/appellant as well as the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State.
