KANAILAL MUKHERJEE Vs. CALCUTTA DOCK LABOUR BOARD

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Kanailal Mukherjee who filed this WP under Article 226 dated October 20, 2009 is no more. His wife and daughter have been substituted. Kanai was working in Calcutta Dock Labour Board. On reaching the age of superannuation he retired from service on August 1, 2006. In para 6 he stated that he was not paid Rs. 4,47,000 retirement benefits (with Rs. 40,000 interest). He has prayed for a mandamus commanding the respondents to pay the benefits.

(2.) By an order dated November 16, 2009 the WP was admitted. The respondents were directed to file opposition within two weeks. The last two orders are dated March 1, 2012 and March 5, 2012.
