JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. B. Kumar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr. Basu Chowdhury, learned Counsel appearing for the respondents.

(2.) Initially, a contention was raised by the petitioner that in spite of objection raised in the year 1987 as regards recording of age of the petitioner in the Service Excerpts, such objection was never considered.

(3.) On instruction from the respondents, their learned Counsel produced materials to show that the petitioner's age was considered by the Apex Medical Board, and, by its report dated 15th May, 1992, the petitioner's age was assessed between 50 and 55 years on that date. The document also bears the left thumb impression of the petitioner himself.
