A. NANDI Vs. N. MAJUMDER

Decided On November 28, 2019
A. Nandi Appellant
V/S
N. Majumder Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) By means of filing of this petition the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:

(2.) Heard Mr. A. Nandi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. N. Majumder, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

(3.) To press the aforesaid reliefs, Mr. Nandi, learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon a certificate dated 10 th May, 1975 (Annexure-1 to the writ petition) allegedly issued by the then respected Headmaster of the Bodhjung Higher Secondary School and a document of issuing mark-sheet of Higher Secondary Examination in favour of the students of the school (Page-87 of the writ petition). Since the matter involves The National Register of Citizens (N.R.C. for short), this Court from the very first day was sympathetic to the petitioner. For this purpose, this Court had given enough opportunities to Mr. Nandi, learned counsel for the petitioner to visit the school and verify all the relevant records and also requested the school authority, including the respected Headmaster of this school, and the learned counsel for the State-respondents to cooperate with the petitioner. Accordingly, on many dates such records were verified. During verification the school authorities extended all helps and co-operation to Mr. Nandi, to which Mr. Nandi, learned counsel did not deny.
