JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. B. Choudhury, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr. S. Chakraborty, learned Addl. G.A. appearing for the State-respondents.

By means of this writ petition, the writ petitioner urges for issuing direction on the respondents to count his past services which he had rendered in the Bagafa Ashram Higher Secondary School, Belonia for the period from 20.11.1970 to 30.07.1974 and thereafter in the Bodhjung Higher Secondary School, Agartala w.e.f. 31.07.1974 to 11.03.1975 for the purpose of pension and other retiral benefits.

(3.) The undisputed fact that has unfolded in this writ petition, is that the petitioner had worked as the Assistant Teacher in Bagafa H.S. School, Belonia w.e.f. 20.11.1970 to 30.07.1974 and thereafter he was transferred to Bodhjung H.S. School where he had served from the period from 31.07.1974 to 11.03.1975. On 12.03.1975 he had joined as the Assistant Lecturer in the Belonia College, Belonia and from there, the petitioner had been transferred to Ramthakur College, Agartala. The management of Belonia College, Belonia was taken over by the Government of Tripura by operation of the Tripura Educational Institutions (Acquisition of Right, Title and Interest) Act, 1980 w.e.f. 01.01.1982.
