SUSMITA DATTA Vs. STATE OF TRIPURA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Ms. Rumela Guha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr. R. Datta, learned P.P. appearing for the State respondent through video conferencing.

(2.) Smt. Susmita Datta, the petitioner herein, has filed the instant bail application for granting her anticipatory bail for the reasons that she has been implicated with Sabroom P.S. FIR No.2020/SBM/015 dated 19.06.2020, registered under Sections 420/120(B)/409/511 of IPC.

(3.) It is stated that the petitioner is a 75 years old lady and has no connection with the allegations levelled against her as lodged by the Superintendent of Agriculture, Rupaichari Agri-Sub Division. The petitioner was awarded the tender by Government of Tripura for supplying VST Shakti Power Tillers to the 12 beneficiaries selected by the Government under Sub- Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation(SMAM) Scheme. Being the lowest bidder, she supplied the machines to the Department concerned.
