JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard on I.A. No. 5787/2018 which is an application for exemption from surrender.

(2.) It is submitted by counsel for the applicant that the applicant has been convicted for offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act and has been sentenced to undergo the simple imprisonment and rigorous imprisonment of one year and compensation to the tune of Rs. 4,08,000/- with default imprisonment.

(3.) It is mentioned in the application that because of inadvertent reasons the applicant could not surrender.
