JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard finally with consent.

(2.) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to cancel the result of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2015 or alternatively to revalue the answer sheets after considering the question No.9 of Set -D General Studies paper to be correct. In brief, the case of the petitioner is that he had appeared in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2015 and was given Set -D of General Studies paper, in which he had correctly marked answer to the Question No.9 as 'Option -B' but the respondents have committed an error in deleting the said Question No.9 at the time of final tally.

(3.) A reply has been filed by the respondents stating therein that the Question No.9 has been deleted on the basis of the report of the expert committee.
