JUDGEMENT

(1.) This is first application filed by the applicant under Sec. 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail relating to FIR No.97/2024 dtd. 18/3/2024 registered at Police Station-Lanji, District-Balaghat (M.P.) for commission of offence under Sec. 34(2) of M.P. Excise Act, 1915. Applicant is in detention since 18/3/2024.

(2.) As per the prosecution story, o n 18/3/2024, upon receiving information from an informant, police of the concerned police station seized 55 bulk liters of illicit liquor from possession of the applicant. FIR was registered.

(3.) Learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that applicant is in detention since 18/3/2024. He has not committed any offence and nothing has b een seized from his possession. He is innocent. He has been falsely implicated. The trial of the case will take considerable time. Therefore, it is prayed that the applicant may be released on bail pending the trial.
