(1.) THIS petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. has been filed for quashing the F.I.R. registered against the petitioner, here -in -after referred as accuse; vide Crime No.62/2013 at Police Station City Kotwali, District Khandwa.
(2.) ON complaint letter dated 08.10.2012 of the Secretary, Gram Panchayat, Jaswadi to the police station city Kotwali, Khandwa F.I.R. vide crime No.62/2013 has been registered against the accuse for offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC. The allegation was that the accuse, a permanent resident of Gram Panchayat, Jaswadi suppressed the information having contractor license for the purpose to get himself registered under Karmkar Mandal Yojana for obtaining amount towards marriage aid for his daughter. For obtaining grant, the accuse moved an application before Janpad Panchayat, Khandwa, during enquiry this fact disclosed that the accuse already having contractor license, hence his registration card has been cancelled and above information of registration of F.I.R. forwarded to the police.

TIME and again the Apex Court has been pointing out that the quashing of F.I.R. or a complaint in exercise of inherent powers of the High Court should be limited to very extreme exceptions see State v Bhajan Lal AIR 1992 SC 604: 1992 CrLJ 527: 1992 Supp (1) SCC 335; Rajesh v State (1999)3 SCC 259: AIR 1999 SC 1216: 1999 CrLJ 1833; Medchi Chemicals v Biological E.
