JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE sole accused Shaik Chand was put up for trial before the IV Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court), Karimnagar in Sessions case No. 478 of 2004 on the allegation of committing offences punishable under sections 302 and 307 IPC. At the conclusion of the trial he was found guilty for both the offences and was sentenced to imprisonment for life and to pay a fine of Rs. 500/- for the offence under Section 302 IPC. He was also sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of five years and to pay a fine of Rs. 500/- for the offence under Section 307 IPC. Both the substantive sentences were directed to run concurrently.

(2.) AGGRIEVED by the said order of conviction and sentence, the appellant preferred this appeal.
