JUDGEMENT

(1.) This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering her case for appointment as Conductor or in any suitable post on compassionate grounds in pursuance of G.O.Ms.No.2, Transport, Roads & Buildings (TS.II) Department, dated 05.01.2013, as illegal and arbitrary.

(2.) Heard Sri S.M. Subhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri P. Durga Prasad, learned Standing Counsel for APSRTC appearing for the respondents and perused the record.

(3.) The case of the petitioner is that the husband of the petitioner by name Nenavath Srinivas, worked as a Driver in the respondent Corporation. He died on 16.02.2007 in harness. The petitioner made an application on 23.08.2007 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds in any suitable post. The respondents orally informed the petitioner that her name was registered and as and when vacancy arises, her case will be considered. But, in spite of repeated requests made by the petitioner, her claim was not considered.
