(1.) On 16/2/2026, when the petition was called out, this Court adjourned the matter as Ms S. Nongsiej, Legal-Aid Counsel was not present and accordingly, a direction was given to the Legal Services Authority to appoint a new Advocate, who is on the panel of Legal-Aid.
(2.) Mr D. Thabah, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he has been privately appointed by the petitioner and that he had appeared on 10/12/2025, however, he was unable to appear on 16/2/2026 as he was not aware of the said date. He states that he will continue to appear in the aforesaid petition on behalf of the petitioner. Accordingly, Ms S. Nongsiej, Legal-Aid Counsel was not required to appear on 16/2/2026. Today, she is present in Court and points out the same. Accordingly, Ms S. Nongsiej is discharged from the said case since Mr D. Thabah has and will be appearing on behalf of the petitioner.
