JUDGEMENT

(1.) Criminal Appeal No. 698 of 2008 filed by the appellants against their conviction for the offence punishable under Sections 498A, 304B of the Indian Penal Code for which they are sentenced to suffer RI for one year and to pay a fine of Rs.1, 000/ each, in default, further to suffer RI for one month for the offence punishable under Section 498A; and to suffer RI for eight years and to pay a fine of Rs.1, 000/, in default, further to suffer RI for one month for the offence punishable under Section 304B, vide judgment and order dated 24.09.2008 passed by the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Amravati in Sessions Case No. 900 of 1997. Criminal Appeal No. 13 of 2009 filed by the State against acquittal of the appellants for the offence punishable under Sections 302 and 306 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
