MANIK BHIMRAO JADHAV Vs. SHIVAJIRAO BHAURAO PATIL

JUDGEMENT

(1.) IN the election held in September, 1999, for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, the petitioner contested the said election from Nilanga Assembly Constituency as a candidate sponsored by Janta Dal (Secular) party. Alongwith the petitioner there were other seven candidates who contested the said elections from the same constituency.

(2.) THE sole respondent Shri Shivajirao Bhaurao Patil Nilangekar was one of the contestants who contested the said assembly elections from the same constituency as a candidate sponsored by the India National Congress party. One Shri sunil Bhaurao Mane also contested the said election from the said constituency as a candidate sponsored by the Shiv Sena party.

(3.) IT is not necessary for the purpose of present decision to give the names of the other five contesting candidates as we are not very much concerned with the same. Shri Sunil Bhaurao Mane to whom a reference is made above is not made a party respondent to the present election petition.
