JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Sri Amit Bose, learned Senior Advocate, assisted by Sri Mohd. Shujauddin Waris, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ran Vijay Singh, learned Addl. Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

(2.) By means of this petition, the petitioner has assailed the show cause notice dated 22.11.2019 issued by Senior Superintendent of Police, Lucknow whereby explanation from the petitioner has been called providing him copy of enquiry report dated 31.10.2019.

(3.) Sri Ran Vijay Singh, learned Addl. Chief Standing Counsel has raised objection regarding maintainability of the writ petition by submitting that the show cause notice may not be assailed under the writ jurisdiction inasmuch as no final decision has been taken by the competent authority, therefore, the petitioner should submit his explanation to the show cause notice.
