JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard, Shri Hari Prakash Srivastava, learned counsel for the appellant and respondent no.1 in Cross-Objection, Shri Manzar Ali Khan, learned counsel for the respondents no.1 to 8, Shri Mukul Agnipal, learned counsel for the respondent no.9 and respondent no.2 in Cross-Objection and Shri Adnan Ahmad, learned counsel for the cross objectors.

(2.) The F.A.F.O. No.1349 of 2010 has been filed by the United India Insurance Company Limited challenging the judgment and award dated 08.07.2010 passed in Claim Petition No.368 of 2009 (Smt. Saisa @ Saida and Others Vs. Pankaj Singh and Another) by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal / Additional District Judge, Court No.7, Sitapur by means of which the claim petition has been partly allowed and an amount of Rs.2,66,000/- has been awarded as compensation alongwith interest @ 6% per annum which is to be paid by the appellant insurance company as per the apportionment made in the impugned judgment and order.

(3.) The Cross Objection No.1 of 2016 has been filed by the claimants for modification of the award dated 08.07.2010 and enhancement of the compensation.
