JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Shri S.K. Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. Neeru Devi, Central Government Counsel appearing for the Union of India. Learned Standing Counsel appears for the respondent no.2.

(2.) The petitioner has approached this Court interalia for following reliefs:-

(3.) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father-in-law of the petitioner namely late Shri Abdul Shakoor Khan was posted on the post of Company Commander in 5th Battalion, P.A.C. Ram Nagar, Varanasi (at present, 36th Battalion P.A.C. Ram Nagar, Varanasi). During his service he was awarded Police Gallantry Award by Hon'ble President of India since 1956/57. The petitioner is widow of late Sri Abdul Rauf Khan, son of late Abdul Shakoor Khan and she is entitled to the amount of the award, which was not paid to her father-in-law in his life time. The petitioner had earlier approached this Court by preferring Writ A No.23959 of 2018 and the same was disposed of on 13.11.2018 with direction to the competent authority to decide the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law. By the impugned order dated 27.9.2019, the respondent no.1 has rejected the representation of the petitioner.
