(1.) SHORT counter affidavit on behalf of opp party no. 3 has been filed which is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that he does not intend to file rejoinder affidavit to the short counter affidavit. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Akhilesh Kalra, learned counsel appearing for opposite party no. 3 and learned Addl. Government Advocate . The petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India have filed the present writ petition with the prayer for quashing the First Information Report registered at case crime no. 257 of 2009 under Sections 498-A, 323 & 506 IPC read with Section 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act of P.S. Ghazipur, Lucknow. It appears that on account of some matrimonial dispute between petitioners and opposite party no. 3 Smt. Suchi Mathur regarding demand of dowry, the impugned FIR has been lodged. Both the parties, i.e. the petitioners and opposite party no. 3 agree that the matter may be referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre. Prima facie, it also appears that controversy may be settled between the parties with the intervention of the Mediation Centre. Accordingly, it is directed that the record of this petition be placed before the Mediation & Conciliation Centre. The petitioners and opposite party no. 3 shall appear before the Mediation & Conciliation Centre on 6th May 2009. The matter shall be disposed of by the Mediation & Conciliation Centre within two weeks from said date. It is further directed that till submission of report by the Mediation & Conciliation Centre, the petitioners shall not be arrested in aforesaid case crime number.
