JUDGEMENT

(1.) By means of the instant petition, petitioner seeks the following relief:

(2.) Petitioner against 72825 posts of assistant teacher in primary school gave application for appointment as trainee teacher pursuant to advertisement dated 30 November 2011. The notification was subject matter of challenge in various writ petitions. Finally, the matter came to be decided by the Supreme Court in a batch of civil appeals being Civil Appeal Nos. 4347-4375 of 2014, State of U.P. and others v. Shiv Kumar Pathak and others, and the connected appeals were finally disposed of by this Court on 25.7.2017. Relevant part of the judgment of the Supreme Court reads as under:

A perusal of the operative portion of the judgment of the Supreme Court goes to show that all the 66,655 appointments made during the pendency of the appeal have been left undisturbed and the State has been granted liberty to fill up the remaining vacancies in accordance with law after issuing fresh advertisement.
