JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE accused applicant is charged in case Crime No. 481 of 2007 under sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 I.P.C. pending in the Court of Special Chief Judicial Magistrate Kanpur Nagar for fabrication of documents Registration Record.

(2.) HEARD Sri Satish Trivedi, Senior Advocate assisted by Sri Jitendra Singh Lodhi, advocate for the applicant and Sri Arvind Tripathi, Addl. Government Advo­cate for the State.

(3.) THE Counsel for the accused has pointed out that the accused is 62 year of age and has now retired but these are not sufficient ameliorative feature. The records in the Registration office are sacrosanct and there is a presumption of their veracity. Any interpolation in the name is something which undermines the confidence of the public and is tantamount to grofes breach of trust.
