JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel representing respondents 1 to 3 and learned counsel for the respondent No. 4. The writ petition can be disposed of finally at the admission stage.

(2.) learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is unable to file supplementary affidavit as directed by this Court in its order dated 20.10.1997 inasmuch as the petitioner has been arrested in some criminal case and could not contact him for filing supplementary affidavit.

(3.) The prayer in the writ petition is for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to decide the objection of the petitioner under Sec. 11(2) of Imposition of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act and to direct the parties to maintain status quo.
