JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD Counsel for the petitioner.

(2.) BY this writ petition the petitioner has prayed for quashing the order dated 20.2.2006 passed by District Magistrate by which the arms licence of the petitioner has been cancelled and the appeal was filed by the petitioner which too was dismissed.

(3.) LEARNED Counsel for the petitioner challenging the order contended that on the ground that the criminal cases are registered the arms licence can ­not be cancelled. He has placed reliance on the judgments of this Court in Rajoo Singh v. State of U.P. and others 2006(62) ALR 635 (Alld).and Harprasad and others v. State of U.P. and others 2003 (52) ACC 226=2005 (30) AJC 553. and in Changa Prasad Sahu v. State of LIP. 1984 (10) ACC 223.
