JUDGEMENT

(1.) WE have heard Shri Sukhendu Pal Singh, learned Counsel for the petitioner, Shri A. K. Sand, learned Additional Government Advocate, Shri K. C. Sinha, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India and Shri D. K. Singh, Joint Registrar (Inspection), High Court, Allahabad.

(2.) IN the case of the petitioner there was a specific direction to the INvestigating Officer (SHO, police station Jagdishpura, Agra) to submit a progress report regarding investigation and to trace out the missing boy by the next date of listing, but the said report of the INvestigating Officer concerned has not been received.

(3.) WE direct the Director General of Police to ensure that serious steps are taken to locate these children in accordance with the DGP's earlier circular letter dated 10-1-2007 and to submit a further progress report about the steps taken on the next date of listing.
