JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD Sri Ram Autar Verma for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State -respondents and learned counsel appearing for the Gaon Sabha.

(2.) THE writ petition arises out of proceedings under section 161 of the U.P. ZA and LR Act. In these proceedings, an order for exchange was passed in the year 2002.

(3.) AGAINST this order, a recall application was filed, which was allowed by the SDM concerned, on the ground that the exchange was of land reserved for public purpose, during consolidation operations, namely, a khalihan, and therefore, the exchange was not permissible.
