JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD Shri Sharad Kumar Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and the Standing counsel for the State as well as Sri Shafiq Mirza for opposite party No.3.

(2.) THIS is a matter of compassionate appointment. The facts of the case are that the mother of the petitioner late Saffina Rashid was working as a Reader in Sociology Department of Karamat Husain Muslim Girls Post Graduate College, Faizabad Road, Lucknow (hereinafter referred to as Karamat College). The mother of the petitioner expired in harness on 22.6.2004. The petitioner moved an application on 17.6.2006 after becoming major before the Karamat College requesting therein that his candidature be considered for suitable employment in the college being dependent of his mother. The matter of employment remained pending with the opposite parties and the petitioner kept running from pillar to post in order to get employment which was denied to him for one reason or the other. It was informed that no post is available in Karamat College.

(3.) THE petitioner came to know that one post of clerical cadre became vacant in Shia Post Graduate Degree College, Lucknow (hereinafter referred to as Shia College). He requested the authorities that a vacancy being available in clerical cadre in Shia College, he may be appointed on the said vacant post.
