JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, praying that the respondents be directed to pay the salary of the petitioner on the post of Assistant Registrar in continuation since 1.5.1986, and be further directed to provide the petitioner seniority as Assistant Registrar with effect from 1.5.1986. Further prayer has been made for quashing the order dated 11.12.2000 (Annexure-6 to the writ petition) passed by the respondent No. 2.

(2.) Shri Anurag Pathak, learned counsel for the petitioner has made statement that on 15.7.1985, the petitioner was transferred to Kanpur University on the post of Assistant Registrar.

The petitioner made a Representation dated 14.9.1999, inter alia, praying for fixation of his pay as well as seniority on the post of Assistant Registrar claiming benefit of his working as Assistant Registrar with effect from 1.5.1986 to 13.10.1987 and as Officer on Special Duty in the pay-scale of Assistant Registrar with effect from 14.10.1987 to 18.11.1991. The said Representation of the petitioner was forwarded to the respondent No. 2 by the Vice-Chancellor, Rohilkhand University, Bareilly (respondent No. 3) by a Communication dated 14.6.2000 (Annexure-5 to the writ petition).
