JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD Sri O.P. Srivastava, learned counsel for the appellant and Sri Sirish Chandra, learned Standing Counsel for the State -respondents.

(2.) ACCORDING to Sri O.P. Srivastava, Respondents No.2, 3, 4 & 5 are proforma -respondents and had not filed objection to the award of compensation granted to the appellant.

(3.) LEARNED counsel for the appellant has submitted that the notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act was issued on 18.03.1978 and the notification under Section 6 of the Act was issued on 08.04.1978. Possession of the land was taken on 06.10.1978 and the Land Acquisition Officer gave his award on 22.07.1980.
