JUDGEMENT

(1.) These writ petitions have been filed forbearing the respondents from conducting road work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in the petitioners' patta lands.

(2.) Since the issue involved in all the writ petitions are one and the same, all the writ petitions are disposed of by a common order.

(3.) The grievance of the petitioners is that they are the owners of the property in various survey numbers situated in Kallapuliyur Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District. Now the fourth respondent is trying to form a road in their patta lands under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme and work order has also given to various contractors. Since the respondents are taking steps to lay the road in their patta lands, they have made their representations to the District Collector on 12.10.2018, seeking a direction not to form the road in their Patta lands. But, without considering their representations, now the respondents 2 to 4 commenced the road work. Hence, the present writ petitions have been filed.
