JUDGEMENT

(1.) The writ petition in W.P(MD)No.25250 of 2018 has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 12.12.2018 passed by the third respondent, wherein the respondent police has rejected the permission sought for by the petitioner to conduct the Kabadi Tournament and seeking a consequential direction to the respondent police to give permission to the petitioner to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 06.00 p.m on 17.01.2019 to 10.00 a.m on 18.01.2019 at the play ground opposite to Varatharaja Perumal Kovil, Seithunganallur, Thoothukudi District with light and sound.

(2.) The writ petition in W.P(MD)No.25250 of 2018 has been filed directing the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 06.00 p.m on 16.01.2019 to 06.00 p.m on 17.01.2019 at Public Play Ground, Seithunganallur, Srivaikundam Taluk, Tirunelveli District in connection with Thai Poosam Festival by considering the petitioner-s representation dated 06.12.2018.

(3.) Heard the learned counsels appearing for the respective petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
