JUDGEMENT

(1.) This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner for conducting Aadal Padal on 16/1/2019 at night 07.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. and give adequate police protection in the Arulmigu Sri Manthaiamman Thirukovil situated at Wovaa Thottam Post, Kodikulam, Madurai District

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the President of the Temple of Arulmigu Sri Manthaiamman Thirukovil situated at Wovaa Thottam Post, Kodikulam, Madurai District. In front of the temple, the villagers planned to conduct Adal Paadal programme on 16/1/2019. In this regard, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents on 3/1/2019.
