JUDGEMENT

(1.) The Petitioner prays for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to return the driving license of the petitioner bearing D.L.No. TN-47-2008 0006946, forthwith.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Angappan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

(3.) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner holds a driving license since October 2008. He is employed as a Driver in a private concern, K.S.Bus Service, from the year 2015. On 15.05.2019, when the petitioner was driving bus bearing Registration No.TN-34-R-1699 and proceeding from Karur to Trichy Main Road at Veerarakkiyam Iyengar Bakery about 05.30 p.m., an accident had occurred involving a Motorbike. One person was injured and thereafter passed away in the hospital and an other one injured.
