JUDGEMENT

(1.) The contempt application is filed to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 24.03.2011 in W.P.No. 7263 of 2011 .

(2.) The grievances of the writ petitioner is that the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (Pay Commission) Department, dated 22.03.1993 and G.O.Ms.No.270, Finance (Pay Commission) Department, dated 26.08.2010 are not extended and the benefits therein is also not paid to the writ petitioner. Though this Court passed an order dated 24.03.2011, the respondents have not implemented the orders so far. Thus, the writ petitioner is constrained to move the present contempt application.

(3.) The issue at the first instance to be adjudicated is whether the contempt application is maintainable in view of the fact that, the same is filed after a lapse of about 8 years from the date of passing of the order. Thus, the contempt application is liable to be rejected on the ground of limitation.
