(1.) THIS civil miscellaneous appeal arises out of the dismissal of a petition for dissolution of marriage filed by the appellant against the respondent.
(2.) IT appears that after the appeal was filed, the parties appeared before the Bench of this Hon'ble Court, in order to work out the possibility of a settlement. After several deliberations, the parties have themselves arrived at an amicable settlement. Today, the parties filed a joint memo of com -promise signed on all pages by the appellant, the respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the appellant and the respondent. Mr. A. Sivaji, learned counsel appearing for the appellant and Mr. AL. Ramanathan, learned counsel appearing for the respondent were present. The appellant Mr. S. Venkatesan and the respondent Ms. S. Lawanya, are also present in our Chambers. Both of them have signed the joint memo of compromise. The appellant and the respondent confirmed the terms of compromise, upon being questioned by us.
