JUDGEMENT

(1.) 1.The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct Aadal Padal programme on 24.06.2018 from 07.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m. on the eve of "Sri Karuppasamy Kaliamman Temple" situated in Mettupatti, Chithanatham, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every village all over the state, this Court is of the view that preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
