JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely, "Aadal Padal" scheduled to be held on 30/7/2018 at night 09.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m in connection with "Kuthirai Eduppu Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Dharma Sastha Ayyanar Temple at Kadayakudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dtd. 9/7/2018.

(2.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

(3.) Taking into consideration the facts of the present case and the fact that such programmes are being organized and conducted in every village all over the state, preventing the petitioner from conducting such programme in this particular village will amount to discrimination.
